Last year, the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) recorded significant increases in results and monitored indicators, such as a two-fold year-on-year increase in the number of newly created jobs, and a four-fold year-on-year increase in the volume of new investment projects. At the same time, the volume of investments with higher added value increased by 70% and the number of new jobs with higher added value increased by 76%.

The SARIO agency is known mainly for its connection with the arrival of more than 630 investment projects to Slovakia. The most recent large investment project was the investment by Volvo Cars, supposed to bring 3,300 new jobs to eastern Slovakia in its planned 100% climate-neutral production plant for premium electric SUVs.
